If you have to do a lot of reading on a laptop, this is a great upgrade to save your eyes and neck. Really nice features like adjustable height, ability to rotate into portrait position, all the cords we needed were included. Be warned that if you do want to rotate it and you have done some cord control you will need some slack to permit the rotation.

Monitor did not ship with a USB-C to USB-C monitor cable!

I purchased this monitor for use with my MacBook Air. I was excited that I would be able to connect directly to my MacBook Air via the USB-C port and that I would be able to use the hub features of the monitor.

The shipment contained two duplicate USB-C to USB A cables and did not include the required USB-C to USB-C cable needed to connect to directly to the MacBook Air.

When, after a great deal of difficulty, I was able to contact Philips Monitor Customer Care, they responded to the request that they send me the cable that should have been included in this way:

"Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Philips Monitor Support.

As it is stated in the user manual page 5:

The cables included in the box are differenc according to the region where it was purchased. We recommend you to verify with your retailer if they have available monitors with the USB C A cable.

If you would like that we provide you one cable, we will process as a purchase and we must verify availability in our stock.

Both on the phone and in my email to customer service, I made it clear that I needed the USB-C to USB-C cable necessary to connect to my MacBook Air. The ability to connect directly to the Air and to use its hub features is one of the main advertised features of the Philips Creator Series 27E2F7901!

I have no wish to return the monitor over this experience, especially given the difficulties of returning a monitor!

This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had!

got this to use as my new monitor. for now its the main external display for my broken macbook until the new mac desktop arrives. at first wasnt a fan. had it hooked up with the hdmi cord and was getting a chunky, gross, crispy image with 50 refresh. text was headache inducing i do not reccomend this if you will be using hdmi for your set up.

however displayport is phenomenal. on par and even outdoes my laptops built in retina display. the form factor for this is great too. doesnt look like this will break any time soon or fall over. the back has a great set of ports too. not super into the cheap plastic look of the material on the back but im never looking at that part anyway

overall id reccomend this if youre looking for a monitor and mac users who dont want to take out a line of credit and sell several organs in order to get a studio display.

but this is a displayport only machine. i wouldnt even humor the other options it comes with.

On sale for $400 is best in price. Accurate color with just a few adjustments in the menu. Set: Gamma 2.2, Smart Contrast on, Smart Uniformity on and 6500k and Display-p3 color space. Looks identical to MacBook Pro 16 inch screen, that is calibrated.
